On the road at the Texexition in Istanbul
As soon as we enter the exhibition halls, we feel the lively hustle and bustle:
bright fabrics, a cacophony of voices, many impressions. At Texibition, we discover
materials that are produced directly in Turkey – meaning for us:
short transport routes, transparent origins, and the opportunity to work even more sustainably.
In the evening, we gather for Turkish specialties. Our
denim producer, with whom we have a long-standing partnership, shares
memories from the early days. It becomes clear once again: This collaboration thrives on trust, warmth, and friendship.
Visit to our long-standing supplier in Izmir
On the next day of our trip, we visit our long-standing supplier for the sporty part of our collections. He operates four sewing factories and the largest laundry in Izmir – specializing in washed items with particularly intensive treatment.
Even before cutting, outer fabrics like denim are checked for colorfastness and shrinkage. In the laundry, modern laser technology and water-saving washing machines are used – this is where our sustainable denim is created. We go through all stages from cutting and production to finishing and ironing, and at lunchtime, we eat together in the canteen. In the laundry, we also visit the in-house laboratory for dyeings. We spend the evening together with the team – including the senior and junior managers – in a convivial atmosphere.
Loyalty and genuine connection
The dedication of the employees is particularly impressive: many have been with the company for decades, some for two generations. Between appointments, there are small moments – a smile, a cup of tea, brief conversations. In addition to our long-standing partner, we visit other producers in Izmir – each encounter brings new perspectives. A team on the road, connected by shared values – and by the joy of fashion that takes responsibility.
